Ingredients: Defatted Soya Chakki

Procedure : Making Mixture

  1. Take defatted soya flour, add ghee to it.
  2. Sprinkle 10 ml water on it and crumble it with your hands so that soya becomes little coarse and can be roasted easily.
  3. Roast it on low flame for 5 minutes. When aroma starts coming out of it, add the khoya, mix it well and switch off the flame.

Procedure : Making Syrup

  1. Take 80 ml water in a pan, add sweetener, yellow colour and boil for 1 minute.
  2. Let it cool for 1 minute.

Procedure : Making Chaki

  1. Next add the soya mixture, add elaichi powder and mix well.
  2. Put it in a plate for setting.
  3. Cut it into pieces in desired shape.

Your soya chaki is ready.
Decorate with silver foil, saffron strands, pista!

Outcome:

Dark yellow colour, Soft

Shelf Life:

Tastes best when eaten fresh. You can also store it for 7-8 days.

Storage Instructions:

You can keep outside for 2-3 days in air tight container or refrigerate it in an air tight container for 7-8 days.

Additional Info:

  • You can use finely sieved soya chunks flour instead of defatted soya flour.
  • You can add besan to it to change its taste a slightly.
