Procedure : Making Mixture
- Take defatted soya flour, add ghee to it.
- Sprinkle 10 ml water on it and crumble it with your hands so that soya becomes little coarse and can be roasted easily.
- Roast it on low flame for 5 minutes. When aroma starts coming out of it, add the khoya, mix it well and switch off the flame.
Procedure : Making Syrup
- Take 80 ml water in a pan, add sweetener, yellow colour and boil for 1 minute.
- Let it cool for 1 minute.
Procedure : Making Chaki
- Next add the soya mixture, add elaichi powder and mix well.
- Put it in a plate for setting.
- Cut it into pieces in desired shape.
Outcome:
Dark yellow colour, Soft
Shelf Life:
Tastes best when eaten fresh. You can also store it for 7-8 days.
Storage Instructions:
You can keep outside for 2-3 days in air tight container or refrigerate it in an air tight container for 7-8 days.
Additional Info:
- You can use finely sieved soya chunks flour instead of defatted soya flour.
- You can add besan to it to change its taste a slightly.
