Ingredients: Defatted Soya Paneer Tikki Matar Chat

Defatted Soya Flour 20 g Ginger 1 inch
Paneer 50 g Green Chilly 2 pieces
Roasted soya granules 10 g Garlic 3-4 cloves
White peas 40 g Salt as per taste
Oil 2 g Black salt 1/8 tsp
Onion 50 g Chat masala 1/8 tsp
Tomato 30 g Red Chilli Powder 1/8 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/8 tsp
Lemon juice 1 tsp
Baking soda a pinch
Coriander leaves for sprinkling

Procedure : Preparing Tikkis

  1. Soak white peas in little salty water for 8-10 hrs.

Procedure : Preparing Matar

  1. Take paneer (50 g), defatted soya flour (20 g), roasted soya granules (20 g) and finely chopped onion (50g) along with ginger, green chilly and garlic in a bowl.
  2. Add salt, black salt, chat masala, red chilly powder and coriander leaves to the bowl and mix everything well and roll them into tikkis.
  3. Tip: If unable to roll, then add 2-3 tsp of water to it and try rolling them again.

Procedure : Cooking Tikkis and Matar

  1. Brush the tikkis with oil (2 g) and cook them on non-stick pan till golden brown.
  2. Add white peas, little salt, a pinch of baking soda (to make the peas soft) to a pressure cooker and pressure cook them for 7-8 whistles.
  3. Cook finely chopped tomato (along with ginger and 1 green chilly) along with 1/2 cup water in a pan.
  4. Once the water starts boiling, add the boiled matar to it and let them boil for 2-3 minutes.

Your soya tikki chat is ready.
Sprinkle the white peas chat on it, top it with lemon juice, chaat masala, coriander leaves and relish.

Dark brown colour, Spicy and tangy

Shelf Life:

Eat hot as and when prepared or after few hours.

Storage Instructions:

You can store the tikkis & matar chat for maximum 1 day in refrigerator. Reheat before eating.

Additional Info:

  • You can replace defatted soya flour with finely sieved soya chunks powder.
  • You can add potatoes or other vegetables in the tikkis as per your macros.
